BERLIN (Reuters) -Four people were injured, some seriously, by a man with a sharp object at a company in south-central Germany on Tuesday morning, according to local police.
A large contingent of rescue services were tending to the injured at the company on Sondheimer Street in the Bavarian town of Mellrichstadt, said police, without naming the company.
The man has already been taken into custody and there is no danger posed to the public, added police, who did not give a motive.
The Bild newspaper reported that one of the victims had died and that the incident happened on the grounds of the electric utility company Ueberlandwerk Rhoen.
A spokesperson for the company would not comment on the report and referred questions to the police.
